Family Room

It looks even better in real life. It just feels better looking into the room. I think I will like the TV back where it was when I can get a real nice entertainment center for it. (Or of course when Susan comes to visit so she can watch the Super Bowl, because the cord hook ups are back on the big wall:)!

Jungle room update

Here is the different picture idea. DO you like the pictures straight across the top or more centered? The white pegs aren't the ones I'm using I just had them on hand. I think I need larger ones to stand out more.

Here is the girls room. It is looking really cute. I still need to move some wall decor around and get the fence up, but I'm loving the chance and so are the girls.

I put this piece of fabric up just to see what the red color would look like and I love it. I'll have to see if I want to make drapes that are long or just get rods and have shorter ones that kind of look like this.

I took a picture because this flower looked like it had a light bulb in it from the sun shining on it just right. And about 5 seconds after I noticed it Arya said, "Look, flower on fire. Mommy flower on fire." It really looked like it too.

I think I like it better with out the hanging fabric. I put this up just to get an idea of what it might look like. I think I'll do a small window valance instead.

I really love my pictures but I think I might take them down and put the bigger ones in a line (kind of like the snowmen below) with cute knobs and ribbon attached. I was just hoping for more of a statement and I don't think the collage is giving it to me. Also what do you think about painting the frames the same green I use for the grass on the green wall???

I wanted you to get the effect of Jungle right when you look in the door, but it need a little work. The jungle grass we are going to paint on the yellow green wall on the bottom.

Here is my garage sale favorite for the month!

I ended up giving my friend $20 more for it because I felt like $20 was stealing it from her. I totally love it. You'll have to help me figure out how to refinish it when you get here!!!

Decorations...FINALLY!!!

So Dad, if you are wondering why mom came down in the first place it was to help with Blake's open house, but since that won't be until November now, she helped me with a project that has been a year in a half in the coming.





I'm so excited about the way things turned out with the decorations. And it was so fun to have my mom here to make all the things of normal life fun and be able to share them with someone. Thanks for coming Mom!

First timer

This was Cam's first babysitting job ever. I told him to put the girls to bed at 8pm. After a phone call from Cam at 8:45 he asked if he could put the Arya in bed yet she was crying and climbing all over him. Then when we got home at 9:30 Arya was sacked out on Cam's shoulder because he, "just couldn't do it".
Really Cam it's not that hard, especially after you already changed her diaper and put her pj's on her:).

He's such a softy!
